Happy Thanksgiving from the Town of Mammoth Lakes!
This Thanksgiving, we want to acknowledge the amazing community of Mammoth Lakes. We are so grateful for each of you and for the trust you place in us. May your Thanksgiving be overflowing with love, gratitude, and delicious food shared with those you cherish. In observance of Thanksgiving, Town Offices will be closed on Thursday (11/28) and Friday (11/29).
Town Council Meeting Agenda Items for December 4, 2024
The Mayor will recognize John Morris as the recipient of the Mayors Spirit of Mammoth Award.
Town Council will recognize outgoing Councilmember Sarah Rea and outgoing Mayor Bill Sauser.
Town Council will consider adopting the resolution reciting the fact of the Municipal Election held on November 5, 2024, declaring the result and such other matters as provided by law, including the administration of the oath of office to newly elected Councilmembers.
Town Council will make appointments to Commissions, Committees, and Boards and appoint the Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem.
Town staff will present the Fiscal Year 2024-25 Budget Book.
Town Council will receive a presentation from staff on the current Strategic Priorities and Key Objectives Statement and participate in a discussion.

Deck Your Halls
The MHS Boosters Club Christmas Tree Lot opens this Saturday (11/30), at Outbound Mammoth! Shop for trees, wreaths, lights, and stands, or order online for pickup or delivery. Enjoy free hot chocolate, a 20% dining coupon, and photos with Santa. Proceeds support Mammoth High School programs.
SAVE THE DATE – Community Tree Lighting Ceremony, December 6
The community Tree Lighting Ceremony returns to Mammoth Creek Park and the Community Recreation Center (CRC) on Friday, December 6 from 5:00-7:30pm.
Warm yourself around the firepit on the deck and roast Smores compliments of the Parks and Recreation Department, enjoy a hot beverage courtesy of Mammoth Lakes Tourism and purchase holiday treats and merchandise from the Holiday Market.
In celebration of this season of giving, consider donating a wrapped present or funds for either a boy or girl to the Angel Giving Tree or donate non-perishable food items to the Stuff-a-Bus Food Drive, presented by the Eastern Sierra Transit Authority (ESTA) and the Inyo Mono Advocates for Community Action (IMACA). All donors receive a 2 for 1 admission pass to LA Kings Ice at Mammoth Lakes. Celebrate the arrival of the festive season with Santa and Woolly and a personal welcome from the new Mammoth Lakes Mayor. Skate for FREE at LA Kings Ice at Mammoth Lakes from 6-7:30pm.
