Town Council Meeting for October 1: CANCELLED

The next scheduled meeting of the Mammoth Lakes Town Council is Wednesday, October 15, 2025.

Community BBQ TODAY, Wildfire Task Force

Join representatives from the Mammoth Lakes Wildfire Task Force TODAY, Friday, September 26 from 5-7pm at the intersection of Manzanita Road and Dorrance Drive for a FREE Community BBQ. Learn about Fire Aside and ongoing efforts in and around Mammoth Lakes to build wildfire resistance. Discover how you can contribute by hardening your home and creating defensible space. Green waste dumpsters will be available for public use.

SCE Wildfire Safety Community Meeting

To help the community stay informed and prepared for Southern California Edison’s Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) program, SCE is hosting a live discussion for Mono and Inyo County customers at the Crowley Lake Community Center on Tuesday, September 30 from 6-8pm with the option to join the virtual livestream. Participants will learn about: SCE Meteorology & Fire Science, SCE’s PSPS Policy & Decision-Making Process, SCE’s Wildfire Mitigation Plan & Grid Hardening Strategies/Updates, How to Prepare for Outages & Enhance Emergency Preparedness, PSPS Customer Programs, Getting Support During Outage, with opportunities for questions and feedback. Help Shape the Future of Tourism in Mammoth Lakes

The Town of Mammoth Lakes, in partnership with Mammoth Lakes Tourism, has engaged Hunden Partners and Stacy Corless Consulting to develop a Destination Stewardship Plan to guide how our community balances tourism, business success, and quality of life over the next five years. A community Town Hall will be held on Tuesday, September 30 from 5:00-6:30pm at Mammoth Brewing Company and is open to all community members. A Latino business community event will be held on Wednesday, October 1 from 5:00-6:30pm at the Breakfast Club. This is your chance to share your perspective and ensure that the voices of Mammoth Lakes’ Hispanic and Latino business community are heard in the planning process. The event is open to all local business managers, owners, operators, and entrepreneurs.

Mammoth Lakes Winter Expo and Ice Rink Opening Night!

The nights are getting longer and cooler, which means winter recreation is just around the corner. Join us for the second annual Winter Expo and LA Kings Ice Opening Night [https://www.townofmammothlakes.ca.gov/745/Community-Events] next Thursday, October 2 from 5:00-7:30pm at the newly-updated LA Kings Ice at Mammoth Lakes operating within the Community Recreation Center (CRC). Check out the new elevated seating and NHL-sized rink, as well as the dedicated Curling Lane all while learning about, and registering for, our amazing local winter recreation opportunities. Enjoy free open ice skating + rentals and lucky door prizes during the event.
