Laws Good Ole Days – Saturday, September 9, 2023
Laws Railroad Museum and Historical Site will be bustling with activity this Saturday, September 9th. You and yours will have the opportunity to operate the self-propelled hand car or take a ride in the Birthday Express pulled by Old Smokey.
Visit the mining display and stamp mill, work the arrastra, or pan for gold all while listening to the Bishop Community Band and the Out Laws. We will have artist on site to share their skill in woodworking, leathercraft, lampwork aka glassblowing, weaving, quilting, and more. We will also have a bona fide celebrity and their entourage on the grounds, Smokey Bear and the CalFire crew!
Peruse the Trading Post and visit the museums sale table for vintage treasures and books. Everyone’s favorite, Rosa of Rosa’s Mexican Food will be on hand with her always delectable lunch fare.
Be sure come to the acclaimed Laws Pie Auction. Bidding will start at 3:00 pm with Inyo County Supervisors, Jeff Griffith and Trina Orill auctioning locally made pies. To round out the day, Sandy and the High Country will be performing from 4:00 to 6:00 pm.
All proceeds benefit Laws Railroad Museum and Historical Site. This event is sponsored by the County of Inyo.
