Klondike Lake is Open on Labor Day

Klondike Lake is open to the public on Labor Day. Enjoy recreating responsibly! Sunday, September 27 will be the last day for public boating at Klondike Lake.

Until then, Klondike Lake will remain open for limited public boating use on weekends only: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 9 a.m. to sunset. We hope to see everyone again next year when Klondike Lake reopens for Memorial Day Weekend (as weather permits).

Crowley Lake Boat Inspections

Help keep Crowley Lake and our waterways clean and safe

All boats must be checked before launching. If your boat shows signs of contamination or contains water or debris that could harbor invasive mussels, it won’t be allowed on the lake.

Starting this year, every boat needs a free Eastern Sierra Golden Mussel Collective sticker, which you’ll get during your inspection.

For more information and additional resources, visit LADWP.com/Mussels or Eastern Sierra WID – Don’t Move a Mussel.

Temporary Road Closure

Pleasant Valley Dam Rd Closed for Repairs

unnamed 1 2

As of August 17, 2026, a section of Pleasant Valley Dam Road is closed to the public, including pedestrian access and fishing. Pedestrian and fishing access will remain open from the upper end of the reservoir at Control Gorge.

Details on Closure: If you are coming from US 395, you may travel on the paved portion of the road until it ends. Beyond that point, there will be limited pedestrian access up to the closure area shown on the map, just before southern end of Pleasant Valley Dam.

Schedule: August 17 through early October 2026. During this period, extensive construction activities will be underway to ensure the roadway is fully restored and improved for future use.

For your safety, please avoid the area and follow all posted signage. Public access will reopen once the project is completed.
