Kiley Hails Federal Funds for Rural Healthcare

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services announced more than $233 million in Rural Health Transformation Program funding for healthcare access in California. These funds will support workforce development, regional care networks, telehealth, behavioral health, and infrastructure improvements for rural providers across the state. This will expand healthcare access to primary care, maternal care, specialty care, and other healthcare services in rural communities.

“Delivering healthcare across the rural counties in my district has always presented unique challenges,” said Rep. Kevin Kiley. “The $233 million in funding for California, brought as a result of legislation I supported in the House, will help bridge the rugged terrain and great distances of the Sierras and provide critical healthcare for residents and visitors alike.”
