Inyo National Forest is hiring permanent-seasonal recreation jobs
BISHOP, Calif., October 18, 2023 — As part of a region-wide hiring effort, Inyo National Forest is now hiring seven permanent-seasonal recreation technician positions out of Bishop, with applications opening on USAJobs starting tomorrow, October 19 through November 22:

Permanent seasonal positions offer a 13/13 schedule, which means employees work 13 pay periods (6 months) and have the remaining 13 pay periods (6 months) off. These positions have career status and may be increased to 18/8 (18 pay periods of work, 8 pay periods off) or a full 26 pay periods of work based on unit needs and funding.
Six of these positions will work out of the White Mountain Ranger District as their duty station, and one position will be out of the Inyo National Forest Supervisor’s Office.
The next phase of hiring in recreation, fire, engineering, visitor services, and animal packing will continue later in October for temporary positions in all four of our duty station locations (Lone Pine, Bishop, Mammoth Lakes and Lee Vining).
