Inyo County Grant Awardees Announced 

The Inyo County Board of Supervisors is pleased to announce the recipients of 2025 Community Project  Sponsorship Program (CPSP) competitive grants.

Thirteen non-profit entities from Bishop to Shoshone were recently awarded a total of $40,000 for events or  programs taking place in calendar year 2025:

  • Carson Colorado Railway Co. – Independence Railroad Days: $5,000
  • Eastern Sierra Artists – Support of C5 Art Studios programs: $4,500
  • Museum of Western Film History – Concert in the Rocks: $4,500
  • Friends of the Eastern Sierra Tri-County Fair – Junior Livestock Show: $4,000
  • Inyo County Search and Rescue – Range of Light fundraising trail races: $3,000
  • Bishop Mule Days – Additional support for 2025 event: $2,500
  • Sierra Forever – Eastern Sierra Youth Outdoors: $2,500
  • AkaMya Culture Group – Numu Native American Heritage Month: $2,500
  • Bishop Area Climbers Coalition – Buttermilk Country signage: $2,500
  • Friends of the Amargosa Basin – Vole Fest 2025: $2,500
  • Shoshone Museum Association – Brochure and newsletter: $2,500
  • PAWS – Independence Day Deep Pit Barbecue – $2,000
  • AWE Eastern Sierra – Print and online community publications: $2,000

The CPSP program is focused on helping local organizations promote activities and programs that bring  visitors to the area and enhance the cultural and recreational quality of life of the county’s residents. The  competitive pot of funding is one of three programs offered through CPSP: nearly $50,000 is awarded in various CPSP line-item grants for perennial community events such as Mule Days and the Wild Wild West  Marathon, and $32,500 is distributed in line-item grants to support local fishing derbies. Outside of the CPSP, the Board of Supervisors also provides almost $25,000 in County Marketing Grants and $122,000 through the  Grants-in-Support program, for a total of almost $250,000 in grant funding each fiscal year.
