Inyo County Clerk-Recorder to Host “Spooktacularly Ever After” Halloween Marriage Event 

INDEPENDENCE, CA — The Inyo County Clerk-Recorder’s Office is inviting couples to celebrate  Halloween in hauntingly romantic style with its “Spooktacularly Ever After” Marriage License  & Ceremony Event, taking place Saturday, October 31, 2026, inside the Historic Inyo County  Courthouse in Independence.

Couples will have the opportunity to exchange vows in a festive, spooky-themed setting  designed to offer a memorable and unique wedding experience. Appointments will be  available from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and space is limited.

Event Details: 

• Date: Saturday, October 31, 2026
• Time: 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (set by 30-minute appointments)
• Location: 168 N. Edwards Street, Independence, CA 93526
• Fees: Total $110 (License $57, Ceremony $34, Certification $19/ea; fees may vary  depending on additional services requested)

The event will feature a special and spooky atmosphere, photography opportunities, and a  keepsake marriage certificate. Costumes are encouraged for couples wishing to add extra  Halloween flair to their ceremony.
