School Art Days
Independence and Round Valley
This past March, ICA hosted two School Art Days in Independence for K-6 students and in Round Valley for K-5 students with 60+ students at each school. School Art Days are fun-filled days of art activities presented entirely free of charge and during school hours at Inyo County schools.
Modeled after our Community Art Days, our School Art Days bring art directly to students in the comfort of their schools. We look forward to holding School Art Days for K-5 Lone Pine and Bishop students in April and May for a total of 8 school presentations this school year. We have already secured funding to continue this fun program next school year!
School Art Days are possible in part because of our partners the Inyo County Office of Education and Inyo County Probation.
CAC Individual Artists Fellowship Grant Opportunity for Inyo County Artists!
This year’s California Arts Council (CAC) Individual Artist Fellowship (IAF) Program for Region 3 – Central California is now accepting applications through Friday, May 5.
Inyo Council for the Arts is partnering with other county arts agencies to ensure that artists across the region have access to this opportunity.
IAF Program grants support individual artistic practice through unrestricted funding and state-wide recognition to artists at key moments in their careers, elevating their capacity for continued contribution to the field and our state. This program is intended to support a broad spectrum of artists working in all disciplines, from diverse geographies and communities of all sizes across California.
Links to application forms and application support is now available on the SVCREATES’ website. To watch the CAC IAF Central California Informational Webinar hosted March 22, click here.
