Free Community Workshop: Financial Planning 101 – Building Your Financial Home

[Bishop, CA] — Community members are invited to attend a free evening workshop designed to provide practical, approachable guidance for building a strong financial future. Financial Planning 101: Building Your Financial Home will take place on Wednesday, August 20th from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at 269 N Main St., Bishop, CA

This event is proudly hosted by Eastern Sierra Land Trust (ESLT), the Eastern Sierra Business Resource Center and Holland Strategic Wealth Advisors as part of their shared commitment to empowering individuals and families across the Eastern Sierra with tools for long-term success.

The workshop will be led by James E. Holland, MSBA, CFP®, FRC℠, a local financial advisor with more than 20 years of experience. “We’ll cover everything from cash flow to estate planning,” says Holland. “It’s about breaking things down into simple, manageable steps, just like building a solid home.”

Participants will learn how to construct a personalized financial plan using a three-part framework:

  •  Foundation – Budgeting, savings, and emergency planning
  •  Framework – Investments, insurance, and retirement
  •  Roof – Estate planning, tax strategy, and long-term goals

The evening kicks off with networking and light refreshments at 5:30 PM, followed by the workshop and an open Q&A session. Attendees are welcome to submit financial questions when RSVPing.
