***Evacuation Warning*** An Evacuation Warning has been issued for the Oak Creek/Mt. Whitney Fish Hatchery area in Independence for mudslide concerns. Residents and visitors are advised to evacuate and avoid the area until the storm passes. Active Road Closures: HWY 190: FULL CLOSURE from Jct. 395 to Jct. 127 due to Flooding HWY 178: FULL CLOSURE from DVNPS east entrance to junction 127 Death Valley National Park is CLOSED, please avoid the area. Travel is NOT recommended at this time. As a reminder: • Never drive through flooded areas – one foot of water can sweep a car off the road. • Heed posted signs that are there for your safety. Caltrans District 9 Tropical Storm Hilary Road Closures
BISHOP — The following is a list of road closures in Kern and Inyo counties due to Tropical Storm Hilary:
- Kern County
- State Route 58 is closed from Towerline Road to Exit 165.
- State Route 14 is closed from California City to State Route 178 W.
- Inyo County
- U.S. 395 is closed from Pearsonville to Bishop.
- State Route 190 is closed from Olancha to Death Valley Junction.
- State Route 136 is closed from Lone Pine to State Route 190.
- State Route 178 is closed from Death Valley National Park to Shoshone.
- State Route 127 is closed from Baker (San Bernardino County) to Tecopa Hot Springs.
