DWR Invites You to Celebrate Groundwater Awareness Week 2024 with a Week of Webinars and Virtual Workshops
The Department of Water Resources (DWR) invites you to celebrate National Groundwater Awareness Week 2024, which takes place between March 10 to 16, by joining us virtually for a series of webinars and interactive workshops. The week will kick off with a Monday webinar featuring DWR Director, Karla Nemeth, and DWR Sustainable Groundwater Management Office (SGMO) Deputy Director, Paul Gosselin.
Further details can be found in the flyer linked here: Groundwater Awareness Week March 11 – 15 Save the Date.pdf.
The Tuesday and Wednesday workshop days are focused on providing an interactive environment for Groundwater Sustainability Agencies (GSAs) to learn outreach and engagement techniques to assist with community engagement. The week will round out with two additional webinars covering reporting and planning ahead as we continue SGMA implementation in the future.
Future announcements will include registration links and more information for each event. For questions or more information, please contact [email protected].
