Do You Know About the Eastern Sierra History Journal?
An Online Publication Featuring Eastern Sierra History Conference Papers
For those who have never attended Sierra Forever’s Eastern Sierra History Conference, held each year in the fall, you can get a taste of it by reading the Eastern Sierra History Journal. Edited by our Board Member Char Miller, W.M. Keck Professor of Environmental Analysis & History at Pomona College, the ESHJ is a collaboration between Sierra Forever and the Claremont Colleges Library. An annual publication, it features selected papers delivered at the Eastern Sierra History Conference. In the latest volume, you can learn about Mt. Whitney, Grant Lake, Deep Springs College, mules (of course!) and more. Access it through our blog at sierraforever.org/blog, or simply by clicking on the image below. Happy reading! Please share this information with your friends and networks to generate interest in this online publication as well as the History Conference, which this year is scheduled for Oct. 31-Nov. 2 in Bishop. Details and ticket prices will be announced well in advance of the conference, so please stay tuned.
