Broncos Girls Varsity Soccer Hosts Golden Valley High School

The Bishop Lady Broncos varsity soccer team hosted Golden Valley High School in a friendly preseason game. The Broncos scored first from a penalty kick when Juliana Jackson put the ball over the goalie. Golden Valley responded with a goal of their own. At the end of the first half the score was 1-1. Halfway through the second half Brooklyn Braaten drew a penalty in the penalty box. Brooklyn Braaten was able to put the ball into the net scoring the second goal. Shortly after, Golden Valley put the ball in the back of the Broncos net bring the game to 2-2. The game would end in a tie.

The Bishop lady Broncos want to thank Golden Valley for the great sportsmanship and a fun and competitive game.

Coach Bill Dailey said the Bishop lady Broncos continue to improve as preseason draws to a close. Coach Bill Dailey said the lady Broncos had multiple opportunities to finish the game but were not able to capitalize on them.

Bishop lady Broncos will now travel to play in the South Winter Classic in Bakersfield this Friday and Saturday. Season play will start next Tuesday at home playing Frazier Mountain at 3:00.
