Please join the Bristlecone Chapter of the California Native Plant Society this Wednesday, May 22, 7:00 pm at White Mountain Research Center, 3000 E. Line St, Bishop, CA, for a presentation by Mahima Dixit, one of our recent DeDecker Grant recipients:

Title: Phylogeny and Taxonomy of the Eriogonum deflexum Complex (Polygonaceae)

Mahima Dixit, M.S. botany student at Claremont Graduate University, will be discussing the diversity of and relationships between the many species, subspecies and varieties within the Eriogonum deflexum complex, which is distributed primarily in the Great Basin and Mojave Desert . The flowers of this unique group of buckwheats are oriented upside down.
