Bristlecone Chapter of the California Native Plant Society Presents “Phylogeny and Taxonomy of the Eriogonum deflexum Complex”

Title: Phylogeny and Taxonomy of the Eriogonum deflexum Complex (Polygonaceae)

Mahima Dixit, M.S. botany student at Claremont Graduate University, will be discussing the diversity of and relationships between the many species, subspecies and varieties within the Eriogonum deflexum complex, which is distributed primarily in the Great Basin and Mojave Desert . The flowers of this unique group of buckwheats are oriented upside down.
