*** UPDATE 2:56 AM- The evacuation order has been completely lifted. Please be advised area is still being monitored.
*** UPDATE 11:50 PM- Mandatory evacuation has been lifted to voluntary evacuation. The evacuation center at Statham Hall in Lone Pine has been closed. Please be advised the area is still closely being monitored and crews are still actively working.
*** UPDATE 9:55 PM- Current evacuations are still in place. The west side of Lone Pine Reservation is currently out of power. Fire crews and emergency personnel are still working on active flames and hot spots. The forward progress of the fire is still maintained and not actively progressing.
*** UPDATE 8:55 PM- Forward progress of the fire has been stopped at 25 acres. Please be advised that mandatory evacuations are still in effect

A fire is currently active in Lone Pine, south of Quality Inn on the west side of US 395. Evacuation orders have been issued for several neighborhoods. A cell phone alert was issued notifying the community of a mandatory evacuation for Oyster Trailer Park and west of the Lone Pine Paiute-Shoshone Reservation.
Multiple agencies are responding, and the fire is under the jurisdiction of CAL FIRE San Bernadino/Inyo/Mono Unit. In addition to local Lone Pine personnel, emergency services from Independence, Big Pine, Bishop, and Inyo National Forest are reportedly responding as well. Their efforts aim to bring the situation under control and ensure the safety of residents in the affected areas. Firefighting crews are currently engaged in battling the blaze. We will have more news on this situation as it comes in.
