A ceiling-mounted speaker inside the gym at Bishop Union High School caught fire tonight. Someone was inside the gym and witnessed the ignition when the fire began. The fire was contained to the speaker, and the gym interior is smoky but no major damage was sustained and clean-up is underway. A coach is on the scene with police and fire personnel.
