Bishop Broncos Varsity Softball Falls to Kern Valley 2-1
Bishop varsity softball traveled to Kern Valley for first league game of 2024. Bishop fell to Kern Valley 2 to 1. It was a defensive game going 0 to 0 for the first 5 innings. At the top of the 6th Bishop scored 1. Sienna Fuller walked and moved to 3rd on 2 passed balls. Baileigh Momber was walked. Shelby Maillet came up and hit into a double play scoring Fuller.
Going into the bottom of the 6th
The Kern Valley leadoff batter walked. The second batter bunted and after a series of errors, both runners scored. Bishop came up in the top of the 7th and couldn’t score.
Baileigh Momberg pitched entire game striking out 7, 3 walks, not allowing any hits. Facing 23 batters in 6 innings.
