Bishop Broncos JV Softball Wins Non-league Against Trona Varsity 12-11
The Bronco JV Softball team won their non-league game against the Trona varsity 12-11, March 21, 2024, in Bishop.
Dramatic games seem to be the theme this season as the Broncos won the game in the bottom of the 7th inning which started with 2 outs and no one on base. Ginger Lowden started the rally with a double to left field. Cadence Knott then laid down a bunt that caught the defense completely off guard. Taylor Currie hit a triple bringing in Ginger and Cadence, and game was tied. Jillian Wolfe took the count to 3-2 before hitting a double to right field which scored Tayor from third base. And…as they say…the fans went wild.
Jillian Wolfe pitched 7 innings, gave up 11 runs and struck out 11.

Ginger Lowden: 2 singles, a double, a triple, 3 stolen bases and scored 4 runs
Cadence Knott: 2 singles, 3 stolen bases and scored 3 runs
Taylor Currie: 2 triples, a double, 4 RBI’s and scored 4 runs
Jillian Wolfe: 2 doubles, a single, 3 RBI’s and scored 1 run
Tannyr Ludwick: RBI
It should be noted that Jocelyn Flores, who didn’t bat in the game, pinch ran for the pitcher and had 3 stolen bases.
