Bishop Broncos JV Softball Loses Close Game to Kern Valley 9-8
The Bronco girls JV softball team lost their league game on Wednesday, April 26 against Kern Valley by a score of 9-8.
Jillian Wolfe pitched 5 innings, striking out 7, and giving up 9 hits.
Seven different Broncos scored runs in the game including Sophie Dishion 2-4, Cadence Nott 1-4, Serenity limon 1-3, Taylor Currie 2-3 with a home run, Lizette Romero 1-3, Ellary Davis 2-3 and Azul Aranzubia who got on base on a hit by pitch.
It was a very exciting game that came down to the last batter in the last inning with the tying run on 3rd base. After a failed squeeze attempt, Kern Valley was able to make the final out and secure the win. Great game for the team as they had to manufacture runs to keep up with the opponent and great for the fans as they were on the edge of their seat until the very end.
