Bishop Broncos JV Boys Basketball Fall to Lone Pine 50-47 in Overtime

The Bishop JV boys basketball team faced off against Lone Pine for the second time this season and fell in overtime 50-47. It was a back-and-forth game with a lot of action and some smack talk going on with the Kemp brothers coaching against each other. Leading the way for Bishop was Ben Kemp with 14 points, and 8 rebounds. Isaac Gutierrez had 12 points, and 4 rebounds. Clay Jahn had 7 points going 4-4 from the free throw line. Ryan Sharkey added 4 points and 2 rebounds. Ryan, along with Isaac and Waylon Mairs, were tasked with slowing down Lone Pine’s top scorer and did a good job of it, allowing him only 8 points. Marcus Manuelito had 4 points and 4 rebounds. Waylon Mairs had 3 points, and 6 rebounds. Thomas Jackson had 3 points.
Next up for the JV is a trip to Rosamond to play a round robin with Rosamond, Kern Valley and Boron.
