Bishop Broncos JV Boys Basketball Defeats Kern Valley 38-25
The Bishop JV Boys basketball team was happy to finally be back home and came out hot against the Kern Valley Broncs ending the first quarter up 16-2. Kern Valley slowed the game down after that first quarter and the teams played about even for the remainder, with Bishop coming out on top 38-25. Leading the way for the Bishop Broncos, who had an excellent game, was Devaun Mitchell with 16 points, 8 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 blocked shots. Devaun keeps improving with this being his best game so far. Will Kemp added 11 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal. Dom Dondero had 8 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. Jekobe Dondero had 1 point, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 2 blocks. Derrick Cortez and Heath Fuller had 4 rebounds apiece. Nolen Dowers added 2 points and 2 rebounds. Bishop improved to 5-1 in league, 8-1 overall. Their next game is against Mammoth in Mammoth Friday 1/26/24.
