Bishop Broncos Girls Soccer Hold Number One League Spot with Wins Against Desert, Cal City

The Lady Broncos have had a great week out on the pitch and continue to hold the number one spot in the league!
On Tuesday, January 14th, the Bishop Broncos faced the Desert Scorpions at home, with the ending score being 12-0 and the Broncos taking another win.
In the first half broncos ended with the score of 3-0. Kylie Acree, Jessie Ludwick, and Brooke Taylor all put one in the back of the net the first half.
The second half of the game had a variety of players contribute to the rise in the score. Payton Hohenstein and Maydyn Weller both got 2, Xlany Mitchell, Leah Taylor, Bree Braaten, Jessie Ludwick, and Dulce Martinez all got one goal as well. That ended the game with a 12-0 win.
Then on Thursday, the Lady Broncos started off fast against Cal City, moving their league record to a perfect 7-0 at the midway point of HDL play. The Broncos have dominated HDL play, outscoring their opponents 50-1.
On Thursday Brooke Taylor scored a goal within the first 5 minutes of the game off an assist from Madyn Weller. Shortly after, the Broncos put another ball in the back of the net by Tatum Derr with an assist from Madyn Weller. The half ended with the Broncos having a 2-0 lead, but not for long, as Ashley Sandoval scored a goal with an assist from Brooke Taylor. Just as the game was coming to an end, Bree Braaten scored off an assist from Willow Blanks. The game ended with a 4-0 Bronco win.
The Broncos will be playing Mojave and Kern Valley next Tuesday and Thursday. The games will start at 3:00, with Tuesday being a home game and Thursday being an away game.
