The game went into a shoot out where five players from each team were selected to kick penalty shots. Riley Van Nest was in net for the Broncos. At the end of the shoot out both teams had put the ball in the back of the net four of the five shots, bringing the game into sudden death shoot out.
Katya Fierro represented Bishop first and place the ball in the back of the net. The Yosemite Badger’s player then shot and goalkeeper Riley Van Nest made the save winning the game.
Coach Bill Dailey said he is extremely proud of his team. The Bishop Lady Broncos had not had to face opponents this year with the speed or the aggressiveness that was presented by the Badgers. The Bishop Lady Broncos throughout league season never really had to face adversity or fight back from being behind.
