Big Pine’s Civic Club

Conversation, Getting Things Done, and a Little Bit of Fun

The Big Pine Civic Club and the Big Pine Community Association are one and the same. We’ve simply returned to our historic name—the Civic Club—but the mission hasn’t changed: bringing the people of Big Pine together. This is not a formal or stuffy group—it’s a fun, welcoming, and informative space where every voice matters.

By joining in, you’ll hear directly from guest speakers and Inyo County representatives who share updates, answer questions, and listen to concerns. You’ll connect with neighbors who care about Big Pine’s future and take part in planning events and tackling local issues that keep our town thriving.

The Civic Club is proud to host beloved community traditions such as the Annual Easter Egg Hunt, Christmas Tree Lighting, July 4th Picnic, Shave Ice Booth, and Citizen of the Year celebration. We support youth through local school events and scholarships, partner with the American Legion Auxiliary to honor veterans by repairing and flying flags on patriotic holidays, and work with the Big Pine Fire Safe Committee on brush and trash clean-up days. And that’s just the beginning.

Your involvement matters. Without you, our community is at risk of losing the traditions that make Big Pine special. Whether by attending meetings, volunteering at events, or stepping into a leadership role, you can make a real difference in Big Pine’s character and future.

The Civic Club meets every second Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. in the Big Pine Town Hall, 150 Dewey Street. Upcoming meetings include October 14, when nominations for 2026 officers will be held, and November 11, when elections will take place.

We encourage all “Piners” to get involved—especially by considering an officer role to help guide the Civic Club into the future. Come to a meeting, participate in an event, and step forward. Big Pine thrives because of people like you!

Thank you,

Sandy Lund, Civic Club president
