Big Pine Irrigation and Improvement Assoc. Brings you Music in the Park!
You know WHO was awesome? My Uncle Bob. You know WHAT is awesome? Free music and delicious BBQ. The Big Pine Irrigation and Improvement Association is hosting a “Music in the Park” event, Sept. 26th. The event will be in the honor of my aforementioned Uncle, Bob Steele.
“Big Pine Irrigation and Improvement Assoc. annual “Music in the Park” fundraiser, honoring Bob Steele is going to be a blast! Water would not be flowing through our yards in Big Pine, without Bob’s determination and hard work. Sunday, September 26 from 5pm to 9pm the event will be open to the public at Mendenhall Park in Big Pine. Live music , Hamburger or hot dog, chili, chips, drink and cookie 8$ and 50/50 raffle. Proceeds go to the maintenance of our irrigation system”, said Valerie Hart, the president of the organization.
“Sax Fifth Avenue” was Bob’s band. Bob Steele was a world class saxophone player that opened with many big named bands in the 70’s and 80’s. Bob’s son Kenny Steele, grandson Chad Reeves and nephew…ME, will be playing with the band to help fill his impossibly large absence.
So please head on down to Mendenhall Park, Sept 26th and let’s have a rockin’ time!
