Astorgas Restaurant and Bishop PD Team up to Help Kids this Holiday Season!
There is nothing I like more than seeing communities come together to help those in need during Christmas. Just ahead of tacos….tacos are a close second!
Well, today I get the best of both world’s! Astorga’s Mexican restaurant gave a generous donation of $1000 to Bishop Police Department’s Chief Standridge for the Eastern Sierra Shop with a Cop program.
The “Shop with a Cop” Program is a wonderful yearly event where kids get to go holiday shopping for their loved ones (and selves) with a member of local law enforcement. What a thrill for the kids (and cops)!
Thank you Astorga Family for all you do to help the community and thank you Eastern Sierra Law Enforcement for always being there for our kids.
This program brings together Inyo and Mono County Law Enforcement personnel and teams them up with 1 of 50 local children who shopped for gifts for friends and family members.
