Bishop is having a windy afternoon, and that wind is forecasted to keep blowing all night with gusts up to 28 mph. Luckily, that wind is blowing out the smoke and keeping our air relatively clear for the moment. It’s finally cooling down in the valley too -highs are supposed to be in the 80s and lows in the 40s.

Most of Mono County, including Mammoth Lakes, has a special weather statement for a passing cold front that will bring northern winds and temperature drops. This afternoon, Mammoth Lakes has a 20% chance of rain, with possible snow above 9800 feet. Tonight, there’s a 20% chance of isolated showers. The rest of the week is supposed to be clear, with highs in the low 60s and lows in the high 30s and low 40s.
