Smoke Advisory – Independence Area (Dec. 9–12)

CAL FIRE will be conducting pile burning, weather permitting, December 9–12 near the community of Independence. Smoke may be visible along Highway 395 and in surrounding areas between 6:00 AM and 2:00 PM on operational burn days.

General Location: East of Independence, near Mazourka Canyon Road.

Pile burning helps reduce invasive vegetation and improve overall fuel conditions in the area.
