Due to a brush fire, U.S. 395 is CLOSED from Lee Vining to State Route 167 in Mono County. There is no estimated time of reopening. The fire has been mapped now to approximately 85 acres. There is a power line threat, and at least one structure has been impacted.

#INNFIRE UPDATE 5/22 4:30 pm:

The fire is now estimated to be 10-15 acres, burning on both sides of highway 395 due to switching winds.

Due to the structure threat, evacuations have been ordered. Highway 395 is closed in both directions.

A full resource response has been ordered including aircraft.

This fire is under investigation.”
