It’s officially time to GO NOW! We’re entering what is likely the FINAL WEEKEND of peak fall colors across the Eastside.

The June Lake Loop, Lundy Canyon, Lower Lee Vining Canyon, Convict Lake, McGee Creek, Twin Lakes Bridgeport and Crowley Lake are all beaming with color and should be fantastic for the next 7-10 days. It’s go time for these spots.

Top GO NOW locations: June Lake Loop, Lundy Canyon, Lower Lee Vining Canyon, Convict Lake, McGee Creek, Rock Creek Canyon, and Crowley Lake are at 100% peak! These locations should be glowing with color for the next 7-10 days. GO NOW or you’ll miss your opportunity at these locations.

Weather report: It’s gonna get gusty, so now is the time to catch those leaves before they fall! This weekend is predicted to bring beautiful warm, sunny weather with a chance of storms early in the week. Enjoy it while you can!

It’s a great time to come to Mammoth Lakes, where we’re currently experiencing fantastic weather—daytime highs in the 60s—a pleasant situation compared to the heat wave elsewhere in California. So don’t wait to come on up, cool off, and enjoy some incredible deals and beautiful foliage with your family.

10-50% – Patchy

Past Peak

TIOGA PASS

75-100% Peaking (GO NOW!)

The aspens along the Warren Fork River are at peak and there is a dirt pull-off you can park at to view the colors. Meanwhile, along the shores of Ellery Lake and Tioga Lake, the golden bushes are are a striking contrast against the sapphire lake. This location will likely be past peak by the next report — you don’t want to miss it!

CONWAY SUMMIT

75-100% Peaking (GO NOW!)

Conway Summit had sections of beautiful peaking orange aspens with yellows and greens mixed in but will likely be past peak in the next week.

LUNDY CANYON

75-100% Peaking (GO NOW!)

There are still some sections of green, but incredible golden trees can be found along the campground and lake.

CONVICT CANYON/CROWLEY/MCGEE CREEK

75-100% Peaking (GO NOW!)

McGee Creek Canyon: Shades of yellows and lime line the creeks, casting colors throughout the canyon.

Convict Lake: Golden yellows and a stunning blue lake?! Must we say more? Convict Lake is a must see this week!

Crowley Lake: Golden trees in the Crowley Lake community are cascading down the hill into town.

LAKES BASIN

75-100% Peaking (GO NOW!)

The aspens along the side of Twin Lakes are nearing past peak due to the early season snow. However, bushes lining Twin Lakes, Lake Mary, Lake Mamie, and Lake George are at peak! This is a great option for call colors right within Mammoth Lakes!

JUNE LAKE LOOP

75-100% Peaking (GO NOW!)

Aspen groves along Rush Creek have eye-catching colors in sections. Plus, groves along the side of Silver Lake are flourishing with gold.

Note: Use caution on Hwy 158, as it is a narrow road from Silver Lake past Grant Lake.

MAMMOTH LAKES

50-75% Near Peak (Go Now!)

Color around town is nearing the 75% range, with widespread fall hues to be found all around Mammoth Lakes. The Snowcreek area and the Town multi-use paths are ideal for a relaxing stroll or bike ride through a tunnel of golden aspens.
