UCSB Grad Students Seeking Homeowners in Mammoth to Discuss Defensible Space Strategies
A group graduate students from UC Santa Barbara are conducting interviews among homeowners in the Mammoth Lakes area to better understand current perceptions of wildfire risk and fuels management. They are particularly focused on second homeowners who own single family homes. Their research will inform a communication strategy for the Eastern Sierra Climate & Communities Resilience Project and their client “The Whitebark Institute”.
