May 20, 2023 – Get ready to celebrate! Eastern Sierra Pride is hosting the 2nd Annual Eastern Sierra Pride Festival on June 2-3 at the Tri-County Fairgrounds in Bishop, CA. Featuring new and returning performers, exhibitors, and exciting activities, Pride Festival 2023 is the perfect place to have fun and be your full self with a supportive community of 2SLGBTQIAP+ folks and allies.
Pride 2023 kicks off on the evening of Friday, June 2 with an ages-18-and-up drag show hosted by legendary drag queens Landa Lakes and Miss Shugana. The performance is followed by dancing under the stars until midnight with the popular DJ T Wrecks. Gates open at 6:00 PM.
Saturday, June 3 is a day of all-ages fun starting at 11:00 AM with an open market of 2SLGBTQIAP+ artists and businesses, as well as local food vendors. Families can enjoy activities including Yoga with Ki, the return of last year’s wildly popular Drag Bingo hosted by Clammy Faye, and an all-ages drag show featuring drag superstar and environmental activist Pattie Gonia. There are also other live performances throughout the day with headlining concerts by Madyx and Amor Prohibido, followed by an all-ages dance party hosted by DJ Kally.
“Pride events around the world are dedicated to uplifting 2SLGBTQIAP+ voices, celebrating queer culture, and promoting acceptance and equality for all people,” says Eastern Sierra Pride President, Deena Davenport Conway. “We’re honored to bring this tradition to our community again with the help of the Tri-County Fairgrounds and our generous sponsors.”
Tickets for Pride 2023 range from $20-$40. Admission is free for Indigenous people. Drag Bingo is a separate $10 ticket. For full details on the Eastern Sierra Pride Festival, sponsorship, vendors, and volunteer opportunities, visit www.easternsierrapride.org.
