Overturned Trailer Blocking Southbound State Route 14
Caltrans has closed southbound State Route 14 from Backus Road to Dawn Road in eastern Kern County due to a traffic incident involving an overturned big rig trailer. The only open lane has been blocked. Travelers are being detoured off the freeway onto Backus Road
Crews estimate it will take two hours to upright the trailer.
There is no backup of traffic on southbound State Route 14. Traffic is moving efficiently through the detour onto Backus Road.
