Northern Inyo Healthcare District (NIHD) announces the launch of its official podcast, Mountain Medicine.

The monthly podcast features the District’s medical professionals talking about advice for healthy living, advances in medicine, and services available at NIHD.

“NIHD is committed to providing educational opportunities for those seeking to improve or maintain healthy lifestyles,” said Interim Chief Medical Officer Dr. Stefan Schunk. “We feel this new media venture gives us an opportunity to share our expertise and resources with our community in an engaging manner that is easy to take on the go. It’s perfect for the Eastern Sierra lifestyle.”

Current available episodes feature conversations on when to seek help for shoulder pain with Orthopedist Dr. Bo Nasmyth Loy; acne diagnosis and treatments with Family Medicine physician Dr. Stacey Brown; and solutions to female incontinence at any age with Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Jeanine Arndal.

The podcast officially launched Monday, July 17 and listeners can hear the 10-15 minute episodes on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts, or Stitcher. All episodes are also available through the hospital’s website at NIH.org/MountainMedicine.
