Mammoth Lakes Community Dog Park Now Open!
The first-ever community dog park in Mammoth Lakes is now open! The off-leash dog area is located on land owned by the Mammoth Lakes Foundation at 190 College Parkway and is approximately one acre in size. It includes a 5-foot perimeter fence, with a double-entry gate system and separate small and large dog areas. The dog park features 5,000 square feet of custom dog turf, 4 benches and access to water. Leash posts are coming soon. Parking is available for approximately 40 vehicles, and a restroom with water fountains and bottle filling stations is onsite. The Town would like to thank T-Mobile for their generosity and commitment to jumpstart vital community development projects in rural communities and acknowledge the Parks and Recreation Commission, Pawsitively Mammoth, the Mammoth Lakes Chamber of Commerce, Mammoth Lakes Recreation, Mammoth Lakes Police Department, Sierra Dog Ventures, and our many residents who advocated for this recreation amenity. The Mammoth Lakes Town Council will officially open the Towns first-ever community dog park with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 3:00pm on Wednesday, November 6, 2024.
