Pack Fire

Our hearts go out to all the families, communities and businesses affected by the devastating Pack Fire on November 13, 2025. Thank you to our courageous firefighters and first responders. During these difficult times, we come together as a community, and the Town of Mammoth Lakes is here to support these efforts. The Tri-County Fairgrounds in Bishop continues to be our temporary evacuation site with an onsite animal shelter. Additional offers of assistance from the community can be found through the Mammoth Lakes Chamber of Commerce. The Mono County Office of Emergency Management has officially declared a Local Emergency in response to ensure additional resources can be quickly mobilized. READY Mono is designed to provide residents and visitors with emergency readiness, response, and recovery resources, and share real-time information and critical updates before, during, and after an emergency or natural disaster:

Town Council Meeting Items – November 19, 2025

The Town will recognize Records Supervisor Krystle Stewart for 10 years of service and Fleet Superintendent Lon Adams for his retirement and 25 years of service. Town Council will hold a workshop with the Board of Mammoth Lakes Tourism to review 2024-25 fiscal year accomplishments. Town Council will receive a presentation from the High Sierra Energy Foundation. Town Staff will provide a presentation on enforcement efforts related to trash and wildlife issues.

Mammoth Lakes Tourism Special Event Funding Opens November 14

The Special Events Funding application process for 2026 will open online on Friday, November 14 at 8:00am and close Monday, December 15 at 5:00pm. No late applications will be accepted.
