BUHS Broncos Volleyball vs. Mammoth, September 12

The Bronco volleyball team  competed in Mammoth  in a well played match. BUHS came out strong and won the first set 25-23. The second through fourth sets were extremely well played and both teams had strong offense and defense, but the Broncos came up short 20-25, 19-25, 20-25.
The Bishop volleyball team continues to improve each match with noticeable improvement in their blocking and defensive skills . The Broncos tallied up  22 blocks during the match – senior Lilly Morrison led with 8 blocks, Junior Peyton kalk 6 blocks , Junior Liz Ellsworth  4 blocks, sophomore Riley van Nest 3 blocks and Delaney Kalk had 1 block .
The defensive specialists delivered again with exceptional digs. Sophie Dishion had 18 digs, Scout Flynn had 10 digs . Lilly Morrison contributed as much defensively as she did offensively with 10 digs and  as did setter Riley Van Nest with 11 digs.
The attack game was led by Peyton Kalk with a 44% kill percentage . Delaney Kalk had 11 kills while Liz Ellsworth and Lilly Morrison each contributed 8 kills. Setter Riley Van Nest racked up 27 assists on the match .
The Broncos will host Rosamond Thursday to wrap up their second week of league play.
