Bike for Bodie! Gravel Not Gold!
Here’s your chance to bike to protect Bodie Hills! Be part of an awesome bikepacking trip through the Bodie Hills — where wild landscapes meet haunted ghost towns. 3 days of gravel riding, advocacy, education, and Halloween adventure! October 31 – November 2.
Folks will cycle through a landscape impacted by mining and learn about the current exploratory drilling projects threatening this important place. Mining companies are proposing to build 1,000 drill pads, miles of new roads, and significantly disrupt the wildlife and ecology of this region. This route will inspire you to take action!
This trip is organized by Emily Markstein and Ben Gerber, the Sierra Club Toiyabe Chapter, Friends of the Inyo, and Coalition Mammoth.
