ARTS WEEKEND – 6th Annual Carson Valley Art Studio Tour & Concert

Carson Valley is putting on a show and not just the fall colors. Plan a Fall getaway weekend in the beautiful Carson Valley, Nevada full of Music and ART!

The Carson Valley Arts Council is sponsoring their 6th Annual Carson Valley Art Studio Tour. Bring family and friends for this free, creative, drive yourself tour of 15 studios with 24 artists on Saturday, October 10 – 10 am to 4 pm and Sunday, October 11 – 10 am to 3 pm.

Meet the artists, see their art, watch them create and learn about their creative process.  All artists will have  their work for sale. The 2026 Tour includes the new and returning studios with art like Teri Sweeney – western oil and  watercolors, Mya Crawford – jewelry, Lee Lewis – Silk painting – watercolor – embroidered appliqué, Mary Gmuender and Leah Andrew – oils, Alanna McDaniel – acrylic painting, Pietro Accardi – marbled paper and fabric, P.K. Klein – Paintings, silver jewelry, beaded jewelry Roger Kinnaman – pastels, oils & sculpture, watercolor, Anne Michell – multi-media, Melanie Walters, Tina Forkner, and Mark Tompkins – watercolor painting, Linda Baxter – acrylic painting, Linda Townsend – watercolor, Constance Peters – photography, Laurie Ricardi –  photography, jewelry, Michelle Mulligan and Rosemarie Littleton – pottery, Irene Taylor – batik and watercolor, oil landscapes, Cyndy Kelso -acrylic, gouache, watercolor, ceramics,  Suzy Musil –  Bead embroidered Jewelry, Monday Watercolor Collective ,  Mark Harris – oil & watercolor paintings, and Kristy Dial – painted gourds.  Several studios have more than one artist, but all artists and their work are featured on the Studio Tour website CVASTour.org.

Printed and online studio maps will be available in late September at the Carson Valley Arts Council, 1572 U.S. Hwy 395 N # A, Minden, NV and at local galleries. In September, the Tour website      CVASTour.org will also include an interactive online map and downloadable pdf file with the studios and galleries information and art examples and background for each artist. The website also includes a schedule of special demonstrations and music features. Visit studios and become eligible to win free art. The more studios you visit the more chances to win. The Carson Valley Arts Council is not only sponsoring the 6th Annual Tour that weekend, but also  the first concert of their new 2026-27 season on Friday, Oct. 9 with Big Sandy and Fly-Rite Boys, one of the world’s most beloved Americana/Roots acts, drawing from the deep musical waters that flow just beneath the surface of Rock & Roll’s fertile soil.
