Hello Mammoth Lakes Adventurers!

We can’t believe August is already here, bringing plenty of opportunities for refreshing alpine lake dips, hiking around unreal Eastern Sierra geology and quiet mountain moments that help you recharge. Whether you’re planning one last summer escape or looking ahead to an unforgettable fall getaway, there’s no shortage of ways to experience Mammoth Lakes in the weeks ahead.

This month, we’re serving up a packed calendar of festivals, live music, outdoor adventures and community events—from Mammoth Wine Weekend and Mammoth Rocks Music Festival to free geology walks and volunteer stewardship opportunities. Looking for inspiration? We’ve also rounded up a few new ways to savor the last stretch of summer, from refreshing treats and poolside afternoons to exciting new restaurants around town.

As summer gives way to fall, endurance season takes center stage. Athletes from around the world will head to Mammoth Lakes to train and compete at high elevation during iconic events like Mammoth Gran Fondo, Mammoth TUFF and Mammoth Trailfest—all while the Eastern Sierra begins its spectacular transformation into shades of gold and amber.

If your ideal getaway includes more room to roam, plan a midweek escape to Mammoth Lakes. Enjoy quieter trails, serene lakes and a slower pace, with special offers that make it even easier to extend your mountain adventure.

As always, thank you for helping us keep Mammoth Lakes unreal—your efforts go a long way in protecting this special place for future adventurers.

We can’t wait to welcome you to Mammoth Lakes as you make the most of the season!

SAVOR THE LAST STRETCH OF SUMMER

It’s the final stretch of summer in Mammoth Lakes, and there’s still plenty of time to soak it all in. Here are four ways to cool off and fuel up around town this August:

Noodle-ly isn’t just dishing up mouthwatering pho and boba—it now offers Shaved Cream, the perfect frozen treat after a day exploring the Sierra.

Limelight Mammoth is offering Daytime Pool Passes for just $25, along with a fresh summer cocktail menu served right to your lounge chair for the ultimate poolside afternoon.

Ursa Kitchen is now open from 4:00–5:30 p.m., Thursday through Sunday, for its new Golden Hour Menu on the patio. Enjoy favorites like fried chicken sandos and short rib tots, paired with $10 drink—wine, beer, and soju cocktails.

Stop by the NEW Beast of the East, bringing Japanese, Thai, Korean, and Chinese flavors together under one roof. Next door, you’ll find Lil Beast, a market inspired by Japanese 7-Elevens, serving grab-and-go items like iced strawberry matcha, sushi burritos, and authentic Japanese milk bread.
