OPEN HOUSE CELEBRATION FOR DAVE

Everyone is invited to drop by to enjoy food, laughter, stories and refreshments (good wine!) in Dave’s memory.

Dave retired from the Bishop Chamber of Commerce in 2017 and we have missed him every day since!

Dave served as Executive Director of the Bishop Chamber of Commerce from 1999 to 2002, but he just couldn’t stay away following retirement. Dave truly loved the Bishop Chamber and believed wholeheartedly in the good work the organization does to sustain and grow the local economy. He came back to work in 2006 as the organization’s bookkeeper until his second retirement in 2017.

His meticulous attention to detail with recordkeeping and financial reporting are to be commended. Many of the policies and systems Dave created still serve the chamber well today.

“I feel so lucky to have worked alongside Dave for the first eleven years of my career at the Bishop Chamber,” notes Tawni Thomson, current ED. “I learned so much from Dave about community partnerships, destination development and good business practices. He was a real mentor and I think of him every day.”
